Fanpope

I once painted a picture of Pope John Paul wearing a giant foam finger. I really loved the idea, but it wasn't very well executed. I decided that I could probably do a better job with it nowadays, so I thought I would redo it using my "sculpt, photograph, paint" method. I've been wanting to do some more things in this style, since I'm done doing Worm Tail concept art for the time being.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Fanpope.

does this mean I'm a good person now?

I took a copy of the ensign to church with me yesterday, along with my sketchbook. this is what I did during sacrament meeting. It turned out fairly well, considering I was using a number 2 pencil the whole time.
I haven't drawn like this for a really long time (since high school, maybe?), so it felt pretty good to do.

Traditional Painting

I haven't done any traditional painting for a very long time. I decided that since I'm not taking any classes at the moment, I might as well do some traditional painting. the color wheel is guache on top of watercolor, while the tiger is watercolor, marker, pen and ink, with latex house paint disguising itself as gesso.
As a Christmas present, I promised my mother that I'd send her snail mail on a weekly to monthly basis, so you can expect to see more postcard-sized paintings in the future.

Variations on a theme

I drew a picture of the guy on the cover of what color is your parachute? and then I did several pages of different ways of drawing him. Here's what I got.
